The Zeph Earrings are named after 'zephyr,' meaning a soft breeze aiming to capture the delicate interplay between the jeweller and the wax during the making process.
About The Collection: This collection focuses on the use of the ‘granulation' technique, where tiny balls of wax are formed and delicately placed onto each piece. The process requires immense patience—if the wax is too hot or too cold, or if the jeweller moves too quickly, the form will be destroyed. 'A soft breeze' captures the fragility of a process that can be undone by the slightest shift.
Composition: The Zeph Earrings are available in recycled sterling silver and gold vermeil. Other metals are available upon request.
Process: All our pieces are crafted by hand using the ancient method of Lost Wax Carving. Each design is carved in wax and then transformed into metal in the heart of London’s jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden.
Delivery: Orders take approximately 4–6 weeks to complete. If you have a specific date in mind, please reach out, and we’ll try to accommodate.
Personalisation: We offer various customisations on request, including alternative metals, engravings and additional or alternative gemstones - contact us anna@joiajewellery.co.uk to discuss your ideas.
